Spain occupies a large part of the Iberian Peninsula and has very different environments, from the numerous beaches on the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, to the islands (Balearics, Canaries), to the central plateaus and various mountain ranges.
The capital Madrid, as well as other important cities such as Barcelona, Seville and Granada are rich in historical monuments and culture, and in some cases artefacts dating back to the ancient Romans have been very well preserved, just think of Segovia, or of medieval origin as in the case of Avila.
The environment is also very varied, with the mountains of the Pyrenees, the majestic cliffs of Galicia or the heights of Asturias, as well as the wonderful islands in the archipelagos of the Canaries in the Atlantic Ocean and the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea.
